New Yorkers Volunteer
To Post Volunteer Opportunities (1) Visit www.volunteermatch.org; (2) click on the “Non-Profits” tab at the top of the screen and enter the basic information to register your organization; (3) click on the “Manage Organization” button; (4) in the “Listing Manager” box, click on the “Add New Listing” text; (5) complete the volunteer opportunity listing details; and (6) post your service opportunity. The process is free and will allow you to post unlimited service opportunities or projects. The New Yorkers Volunteer website aggregates volunteer opportunities posted on any of the following sixteen major volunteer opportunity partners listed below.
Note: If your agency currently has registered with any of the following partners to post volunteer opportunities, they will be automatically loaded into the New Yorkers Volunteer website.
To Search Volunteer Opportunities in New York State
(1) Visit www.NewYorkersVolunteer.ny.gov; (2) locate the green box labeled “Search For Volunteer Opportunities” at the top of the homepage; (3) enter your zip code or select your county from the drop-down menu; (4) enter a key word for the type of volunteer activity you are interested in or select from the drop down menu; (5) click the “Search Now” button and all volunteer opportunities within 25 miles of your zip code in your area of interest will be listed; (7) to learn more about an specific opportunity, simply pick one that sounds interesting and volunteer!
